Well, giant monsters, missing persons, melting buildings, and that was all in my first week.

Aside from the disappearances it seems like things have been settling down, or it could just be I haven't been invited to any of the really cool parties. Rosette, you'd tell me if there was excitement going on, right?

So, I've been looking into the whole building melting thing, since it kind of took out my roof. So far I haven't been able to identify any magical signature, which makes me think it might be a phenomenon completely new to this world, or just something I don't understand. That happens a lot.

Feels like the calm before the storm. Guess that's just the optimist in me talking.

Huh, well for whatever reason it looks like this thing isn't going to fizz out on me anytime soon. I guess I might as well try to use it. Squall said this was a good way to communicate with people at least.

Anyway, the names Harry Dresden, formally of Chicago. I'm a wizard by profession, and I get the impression that statement will be met with a great deal less skepticism than it is back home. I usually make a living helping people with unusual problems, although I may have to hold off for now until I find someplace to set up shop. At least it looks like business will be booming.

I'm currently looking for a place to stay, and also to see if anyone I know is here. If anyone see's a short blond woman with a gun who looks cute as a button and has the ability to throw someone three times her size, a good looking guy with curly black hair and a winning smile that just makes you want to knock his teeth in, a dog about the size of a couch, or a teenage girl with too many piercings and hair dyed colors not out of place on a clown, give me a holler.

Murphy, Thomas, Molly, if any of you are here, let me know as soon as possible. Also, I know what you're thinking, and this is in no way my fault.

Well, that's that I suppose. Guess I'll see how long I can go before trouble finds me. Don't suppose anyone knows how to get back where we came from?
